'tis a fine barn ...

Well ... never done that before.

Today consisted of my worsening my sun intake for the summer, and erecting a massive industrial silo with [info]klyk and his father's contracting business ...

Painting atop rickety ladders on unstable ground is one thing.

Sawing through steel, bolting on sensors and helping cranes lift in walkways and railings to be installed on the top of a silo is another.

Forget installing the railings for the top of the silo before the 20,000lb beast is lifted into place. NAH. [info]klyk and I got to wander atop a fresh silo, which had a slight angle downwards, and install the railing after it was put in place, and not really secured to the ground, screaming instructions to the cranes below.

This was of course, after harvesting mounts from neighbouring silos that had been there for years since the mounts ordered for this job were the wrong size.

I'm looking forward to playing with tubes of plastic beads next week.
